If you want to expose your kids to the arts then there are some excellent local options right here in Indy! One of those is Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, where they have been entertaining audiences since 1973. Beef & Boards is a great way to enjoy our local talent & great food.
A Christmas Story, The Musical is currently on the menu for the holiday season. It’s the perfect play for your tween or teen children as most of them have seen the movie so they are familiar with the storyline. Kids will love the Christmas set, the familiar and funny story and the all you can eat buffet. There are many children in this story too so they will be able to enjoy the local talent and maybe even spark some interest for some future thespians.
Speaking of the local talent, the children who perform in this play are fantastic! They sing and dance with such energy throughout the show. They keep the performance mesmerizing for children in the audience.
If you have not been to Beef & Boards in the past then you will love the cozy venue. It seats plenty but there is not a bad seat in the house. The food on their Holiday Buffet has plenty of options to choose from. The dessert tray was a big hit with my 13 year old daughter and the option to bring out dessert at intermission was the perfect time for a sweet treat.
The holiday season performances of A Christmas Story, The Musical and A Christmas Carol are always wonderful for families. If you want to reserve your tickets for later, they even have a Children’s Theatre, especially for the younger crowd.
