The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the largest children’s museum in the world and we are so fortunate to have a family pass. We visit whenever we can! You might notice on Facebook that Lulu and I stop in for an hour or so every now and then on my way to work. That is my favorite part of having the pass – the ability to hang out for a little while and not worry about getting my moneys worth.

If you live in or are visiting Indianapolis AND you have children, you MUST visit the museum. Plan on staying for as long as you can! Pack a lunch or bring some money for the Food Court. You’ll find plenty of things to see and DO for all ages. Please note that I said “do”. Lulu loves the interactive nature of the museum. We expel A LOT of energy at the Children’s Museum which makes for a REALLY nice naptime!

After you check out all of the exhibits and have a delish lunch, stop by the store and grab some souvenirs or educational toys. Don’t forget to watch the water clock empty out and begin refilling on the hour every hour. If you have a preschool child you will want to check out the PlayScape area. It’s our absolute favorite!

The museum is open 10am-5pm Tuesday-Sunday through February and daily March through Labor day. The museum is closed Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Children under 2 are free. Admission for kids ages 2-17 is $11.50, Ages 18-50 is $16.50 and Seniors are $15.50. Often you will find coupons on the website under the admission tab. Major credit cards are accepted. Parking is free!

Here are some current savings coupons for the Children’s Museum (when available).
